Research & Consulting Assistant on Life Expectancy
As posted:
- Full time employee.
- Competitive salary and bonus.
- Position available July 1 or later.
- Small San Francisco research and consulting group. The group's work in life expectancy / epidemiology is
internationally recognized.
- Our research is on life expectancy and related topics, and is published in major medical journals.
- Our consulting is mostly in the litigation (court) context. We give expert opinion on life expectancy,
often in a detailed scientific report, and explain/defend our opinions in deposition and trial.
- Essentials:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (epidemiology, public health, biostatistics,
statistics, actuarial science or economics), or bachelor's degree plus significant training/experience in
such a discipline.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Unusual attention to detail.
- Outstanding oral & written communication abilities.
- Strong commitment to the work.
- A quick and lively mind.
Other criteria:
- SAS programming experience would be helpful, but is not required.
- Preference will be given to candidates with graduate degrees, especially MPH.
- Preference will be given to candidates from the San Francisco area, to avoid the problems of (a) travel for interview, and (b) relocation.
- Tele-commuting, or otherwise working off-site, are not viable options for this position.
